The 2012 Army Small Business Conference is a national conference designed to provide attendees with “Access to Success.” Attendees of the conference will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and build partnerships with federal government representatives, small businesses, and prime contractors. In FY 2011, The Department of the Army awarded $23.7 billion in small business contract awards across the following categories:
- $9.5 billion to 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Businesses
- $4.6 billion to Veteran-Owned Small Businesses
- $3.2 billion to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses
- $4.1 billion to Women-Owned Small Businesses
- $4.6 billion to HUBZone Small Businesses
